Coronavirus Update 22nd May 2020

Mar 18, 2020 | Coronavirus | 0 comments

As a major UK supplier of long-life milk, we have seen unprecedented demand for long-life milk across all of our retail customers since the middle of March. Our dedicated staff, farmers, and suppliers have worked hard and in many cases long hours to help meet this demand. Due to the high levels of panic buying that initially took place which saw retailers experiencing lots of out of stock items, we are pleased to say that due to the step-up in production and the buying in of additional milk from local farms previously destined for food service, we have now been able to continue to satisfy our retail orders.

Due to the increase in production we are proud to be able to support The Government’s food parcel schemes for the vulnerable which will include cartons of Crediton Dairy produced UHT milk.  This is in addition to the 25,000 packs of Arctic Iced Coffee that the dairy donated to frontline NHS workers in April during the peak of the crisis.

The safety of our staff is of course of paramount importance to us. The dairy continues to operate largely as normal but with all non-essential Crediton Dairy staff working from home and with those who do need to remain on-site e.g production and technical employees observing strict social distancing and hygiene measures.

We would like to thank all our staff, farmers, and suppliers for their ongoing commitment during these very unusual times.

Crediton Dairy is the UKs largest supplier of own label lactose free milk.
